BIO (Biographers International Organization) Fourth Annual Conference will be held in New York City this year.  I will be moderating a panel on social networking.  New biographers, students, and those interested in the field are encouraged to attend the May 18th event.

7/16/2012 Personal Appearance: Screening of All Quiet on the Western Front at the Gene Siskel Film Center
The newly restored version of All Quiet on the Western Front will screen at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago as a part of their 100 Years of Universal Celebration.  As biographer of the film's star Lew Ayres, I will lead a discussion after the 6:30 pm screening on Monday July 16th.  Follow the link for additional information and ticket information.News: Gallatin Graduate Student Moonlights as Biographer
My very first interview about biography was conducted with NYU's Jean Dykstra for the Gallatin School of Individualized Studies news section.  It was such a thrill to officially announce the book (thank you Jean and NYU for setting up the interview).

Attending-2012 BIO Conference (May 18-20)
I'll be attending the BIO Conference May 18-20th.  I'll be moderating the panel "The Stars Appear" with panelists Richard Schickel, Sarah Churchwell, Brian Jay Jonesand Robert Crane.  I'll also be guiding the tour of film and media archives (Margaret Herrick, Paley Center for Media, and UCLA Film & Television Archive).
